Mikayla is a good mother

I put Mikayla down for a nap the other day and she insisted on taking several of her babies with her. I went to check on her a little bit later and this is what I found. She has several babies tucked in nicely next to her. She fell asleep on the very edge of the bed. What a good mom she is.

What cute kids

Mikayla and Brayson are such cute kids. When we were traveling home from the Boston trip Brayson was getting a little fussy. Mikayla was trying to make him happy. So she reaches over and starts to hold his hand. What a good big sister. The other 2 pictures are just them being as cute as they are.

Wes you're the MAN!!

Wes did such an awesome job at the Boston Marathon. He was so excited and nervous, but he did great! It was so exciting to see him at the 16.8 mile. He ran up and gave me a kiss. Oh Baby! He was the sexiest runner out there. Just the anticipation of knowing that I was going to see him run past in the midst of thousands of other runners was very emotional. I caught myself tearing up several times. I just want Wes to know how much I Love him. You are my everything!!

Boston is Awesome!!

Wes and I had the best time in Boston. We went there so Wes could run the Boston Marathon. But we also did a little site seeing while we were there. We went to John Adams old house, we saw the Boston temple, we went on a cliff walk and saw some amazing mansions, and we saw the North Bridge where the Revolutionary War began. We had such a great time! We stayed with Kristina (Wes's sister), her husband, Brock, and their kids. Wes's parents also came. The only problem with this trip was it was way too short. Another week would have been great.

Happy Anniversary Love

Mr. Jensen I just want to tell you how much I love you! The last 3 years have been awesome. We have had so many wonderful times. You truly are my soul mate and I am so lucky to have found you. You are such a wonderful husband. You always treat me with love and respect. You support me in everything I do. You are always very loving and kind. You are a wonderful father! The kids are always excited when you are home and you are so good to them. Thank you for working so hard to support us and love us. I am also so proud of you for working out so hard and getting ready for the marathon's and triathlon's that you do. You are very dedicated to all aspects of your life. Mikayla is a funny girl

Mikayla used to go to bed so easily, but times have changed. Now she cries out for daddy to come save her for sometimes an hour. One night she must have been tired because she didn't fuss at all. Wes went to go check on her and started laughing. I went in her room and this is what we found...Mikayla had put on her swimming suit/life jacket and had fallen asleep in it. She is such a funny girl. Another day when we got back from errands she was so fussy. I told her to go to her room until she stopped crying. About 10 minutes later we found her sound asleep in her bed with her coat and hat still on. We love you Mikayla. You make us laugh.

Brotherly Love

Colten loves his brother Brayson. He can get Brayson to smile and laugh. What good brothers they are.

Brayson's Blessing

On March 7th we blessed little Brayson. We are so blessed to have so many family members who were able to come to the blessing. We actually filled up 7 rows in the chapel. We are so thankful to all of our family and friends who love us and support us. We are also so grateful to little Brayson who has brought so much joy to our family. We love you so much.

Mikayla Fake Sleeping

I was cooking dinner the other night and Mikayla was busy playing with her toys. I turned around and in the middle of the kitchen she had pulled her little couch and pillows and blankets and made a bed. She then crawled onto the bed and was fake sleeping and and fake snoring. It was the cutest thing ever.

Shots! Yuck!

Today was time for the little munchkins to have their doctor's appointment and to get shots. Lucky for me they are both pretty tough kids, but I did take grandma Jensen with me just in case. Mikayla got her 2 shots and cried for like 10 seconds, but was then ok. She later kept saying "ouch" and pointing to her leg. She is so tough! Little Brayson had a cute look on his face and then he got a shot. His face then turned sour and he started crying like I haven't heard him before, but he still only cried for like 20 seconds. Now later in the evening and all tylenol'ed up, both kids are pleasant and doing good. Why do we have to put our kids through such torture just to keep them well? Life is hard sometimes.

Peek-a-boo

Brayson looks so darn cute in his car seat. I put him in the car seat and he looks up at you with these cute little eyes that melt me. What a good baby.

Life at home

Mikayla came in to the living room today dressed like this. She is in her pj's, princess shoes, snow cap and coat. I asked her where she was going and she said "bye bye". Then she mounted her rocking horse and started rocking. It was so darn cute. She really is starting to talk quite a bit now. She tries to put sentences together in her own way. She is absolutely adorable! I took this picture of Brayson in his swing. All I have to say is thank goodness for swings. Little Brayson does not like to be put down. A lot of time the swing is my only time to get a little break throughout the day. But, of course, he does get held most of the time because he is so darn cute and he still has the baby (can't resist)smell. I have such cute kids!

Brayson is starting to smile

Little Brayson has been smiling for quite a while now, but the smiles are far and in between. I was finally able to catch a couple with the camera. He is quite a cute baby, but he does require quite a bit of attention. He also likes to eat it seems like all the time, but he is growing and that's what matters.

Hey Gramps!

Grandpa Hale came over the other night. I was in washing the dishes and when I walked into the living room he had Brayson in one hand and Mikayla in the other. Mikayla had given Grandpa a book and he was reading it to her. What a great Grandpa he is. Mikayla loves "umpa" and is always excited when he comes over. We love you Grandpa!

And the fun begins

We are used to, in our family, Wes throwing the kids in the air at a very early age. It is quite scary when they are so young, but they seem to like it. So here Brayson is being thrown up in the air. He is 7 weeks old now and is 10 pounds and 13ounces. He still gets up every 3-4 hours even at night, but we are more used to it now. He has started to smile occasionally and I heard him laugh once. What a cute baby!

Brayson is 1 month old

Brayson is now 1 month old. He is getting bigger every day. Colten and I weighed him the other day and he is now over 8 pounds. He is a pretty good baby except for the occasional bad night where he is up 3 or 4 times. He is pretty content most of the time. Well I guess he still spends most of his time eating or sleeping and we would all be content if thats all we did. We love you Brayson!

Happy Birthday Colten!

Happy Birthday Colten! 11 years ago today Colten joined the Hale family. Colten has been such a wonderful blessing in our lives. He is such a good person and is very caring and thoughtful of others. He is getting so big and is only about a head shorter than me. He is also such a great big brother! You can tell he loves Mikayla and Brayson so much. He plays with Mikayla constantly and she loves "Co Co". He also will pick up Brayson and dance with him in the living room. Colten thanks for being such a wonderful addition to our family. We love you so much!

Congratulations Colten!

Congratulations Colten! Colten got 2nd at the ward pinewood derby for the 2nd year in a row. The amazing part is that Wes and Colten only made, painted and perfected the car the night before the race in about 3 hours. Pretty darn cool. You both did a great job!

Brayson's getting bigger

Little Brayson is 3 weeks old now. He is around 7 pounds and getting bigger every day. Little Mikayla loves her brother. She is constantly kissing him and wanting to "ode im". She is,however, also wanting to help more with him. She tries to unbuckle him from his car seat and swing. Which is dangerous because she has not found her "gentle" side with him. She also buckles all of her babies into his car seat and swing and bouncy chair. So in order for me to buckle Brayson into something I have to first unbuckle other babies. She will be a great mommy. Brayson is starting to sleep somewhat better now. He started last week waking up every 1.5 hours and wanting to eat. The last few nights he has slept for 3-4 hours. It's amazing how an extra hour or two makes you feel in the morning. Well life is good here at the Jensen home. Colten and Wes are making Colten's pinewood derby car. Last year he got 2nd in our ward. We will see how he does this year.

Welcome Brayson Wesley Jensen

We want to introduce little Brayson Wesley Jensen. He was born December 28th, 2009 at 1:51pm. He was 5 pounds 15 ounces and 18 inches long. He is a good little baby. Very calm and quiet. He only gets a little fussy when he is hungry or needs a diaper change. We are so grateful to have him here safely. He brings such a wonderful spirit to our home. Thanks to everyone for all the love and support we have recieved. We are so grateful to you all.
