This was an exciting week for the Jensen's. Most of you know that ever since last years Blackfoot vs Minico State Football playoff game, Colten has eat, drinked, and breathed football. He loves the Cowboys and Tony Romo is his favorite player. In Southeaster Idaho kids can't play football until the 5th grade and Colten is only a 4th grader and he wishes he could play everyday! In short, HE LOVES FOOTBALL. So this week he was able to attend his 1st football camp held by Blackfoot High School and Boise State. Cloten had a wonderful time and learned so much! I was so pround of him! There is nothing more exciting than seeing your son do so well and have so much fun at the same time!

Pioneer Day Party

So our Ward had a Pioneer Day Party up at the church. We had a blast, we had dutch oven Barbeque Chicken with loaded Bacon, Cheeze, Potatoes. There was all kinds of salads and side dishes and numerous dutch oven cobblers. The Ward also rented this big water slide that the kids loved! (Notice how cool Colten is on the slide!

Jensen's Love to PEA

Our family loves fresh, green, crisp, ripe, delicious PEAS grown right out of our garden. There is nothing more fun for our family than to go out and pick a big bowl of peas and enjoy the wonderful summer time. We also get a kick out of Colten's Pea Pod Houses!

Blacktail Triathlon

You are all probably tired of reading about my triathlons but, since this is my blog you can read about my exciting and awesome experience today anyway. This Triathlon was scheduled to start at 8:00 am sharp at Ririe Resevoir. I found my directions online and we left by 6:30 am to make sure we arrived by 7:15 am. When we arrived at the spot I thought it was at - There Was No One around! We quickly asked a nearby camper if he knew if there was a different Ririe Resevoir and he explained that there is a back entrance off of Iona road in Idaho Falls (20 miles away). I seriously about CRAPPED my pants! It was 7:25 am and we had to go back into Idaho falls and then up the mountains to Blacktail Campgrounds. I figured there was no way to make it but thought we should find it and pick up my t-shirt anyway. When we pulled into the right spot it was 7:52 am. There was a chance to make the race. To make a long story short, As I was running trying to pull up my wetsuit about 50 feet from the start of the race and everyone lined up ready to go - The Whistle Blew - I was Dead Last at the beginning of the race. In fact, I had to gain 50 feet on anybody to even be close to being 2nd to last place. I made the race but it did not look like I would place at all. The swim went really good, I felt good and I went fast and I passed a lot of people. The Biking portion was murder one of the single hardest physical things I have every done- I hate riding up steep mountains! The run went well but I was extremely tired. They later told me that Blacktail triathlon is the hardest race in all of Utah and Idaho so I felt really good about finishing and Then I found out my results. I finished in the TOP TEN!!!!! 9th overall to be exact and I placed 4th in the 30-39 age divsion - 1 place out of the medals. I still have not come down from this excitment- what a day!

Mikayla crawling!
I have the best daughter in the world! I love her so much. The last few days Mikayla has started to roll and scoot around the room. But, today she started crawling. I came home from work today and I opened the door and Mikayla saw me and got the biggest grin I have ever saw and tried her hardest to crawl across the room to get to her DADDY. Talk about melting my heart!

Blackfoot Pride Days Triathlon

What an Awesome day! Another Triathlon under my belt! This was by far the most challenging event yet. The 1/2 mile swim was the hardest leg of the three today (14.3 mile bike, 3.2 mile run). I had a difficult time swimming in the 48-49 degree water. I was disappointed with my results in this leg, but I tried hard and I know that I can do alot better so I have aloy more training to do. During the biking portion, me and excalibur(my bike), were able to make up valuable time by passing 6-9 people. After a quick transition, I started the run (my best event) again, I was able to make up valuable time by passing 3-4 people and finished really strong. I came in 16th place among 68+ people. Despite the results, The feeling of accomplishment is overwhelming.

Mikayla's 1st tooth

June 13th, 2008 was a very big day for Mikayla. Mikayla was in a pretty grouchy mood ALL day and Laurie was doing everything should could to keep here happy. We have been expecting Makayla to pop a few teeth any day now. Anyway, Laurie was letting Mikayla suck and bite on her finger and in an instant Laurie screamed "OUCH!" Upon further inspection we discovered Mikayla's 1st tooth - Bottom center. I know its hard to tell from the picture but trust us its there!

Wes's 1st Triathlon at Rigby Lakes

What an exciting May! I ran my 1st Triathlon at Rigby Lake. There were 100 people who ran the triathlon sprint and I came in 17th. I was very excited about running in this race. This was the first time that I have competed against other people since High school wrestling. I had a huge smile on my face the whole time and I have signed up for 4 more this summer.
